Iraqi–French Business Council | Iraq Development Fund

On 27th August 2026, ( H.E. Mr. Bilal Al-Hamdani, Chairman of the Iraq Development Fund ) received the IFBC delegation, headed by ( Mr. أدهم الفخار , Chairman of the Council )

with the attendance of :

– Mr. Bassam Al-Ateia – IFBC Board of Directors member
– Mr. Ghadeer Al Attar – IFBC Board of Directors member
– Mr. Muqdad Aljuboori – IFBC Board of Directors member
– Dr. Bashar Neamah – IFBC member
– Mr. Saad Al Nuaimi – IFBC Member

Discussions covered strengthening cooperation and exploring opportunities to attract French investments to Iraq and establish partnerships between French and Iraqi companies , with the aim of supporting and empowering the Iraqi private sector.

Discussions also covered opportunities to diversify Iraq’s economy and promote investment in promising sectors, particularly pharmaceuticals, digital transformation, and franchising, as well as potential cooperation on development and investment projects of mutual interest.

The IFBC looks forward to continued cooperation with the Iraq Development Fund in creating new investment opportunities and strengthening Iraqi–French economic and business relations.
