High-Level Talks on Diaspora Engagement and Franchise Investment

On Tuesday, 28th April 2026, a high-level coordination meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office, led by ( Mr. أدهم الفخار, Advisor to the Prime Minister ) , with ( IOM – The International Organization for Migration ), to discuss cooperation frameworks in preparation for the Franchise Business Expo scheduled to take place in Paris in June 2026.
The discussions highlighted IOM‘s strategic role in engaging the Iraqi diaspora and leveraging global expertise to support national development priorities, particularly through structured engagement in the upcoming forum.

IOM was represented by Mr. Pascal Reyntjens, Chief of Mission and accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Haider.

The Iraqi side was represented by a high-level delegation, including( Mrs. Zina Yaqoub Yousef and Mr. Ghadeer Al Attar ), both serving as consultants within the Prime Minister’s Office. The delegation also included ( Mr. Muqdad Aljuboori, Eng. Bassam Al-Ateia, Eng. Ali Ghalib, Eng. Kanar kawah, and Mrs. Roaa Raad Alhassany ), members of our Board of Directors.

The meeting concluded with agreement on the importance of advancing the necessary coordination to ensure the successful organization of the upcoming event in Paris.
This initiative is expected to strengthen engagement with Iraqi talent abroad and create practical opportunities for networking and partnership between Iraqi and French stakeholders during the event.
