The Adviser to the Minister’s Office Hosts Iraqi Foreign Business Councils

On Monday, 11th May 2026, the adviser to the Prime Minister, Engineer ( أدهم الفخار ), welcomed the ( Chairmen of the Iraqi Foreign Business Councils ) at the Prime Minister’s Office, in the presence of the advisory team experts and our Board of Directors :

• Mr. علي طارق — Executive Director, Iraqi Private Banks League
• Mr. Ghadeer Al-Attar — Consultant, Prime Minister’s Office

The meeting focused on advancing the framework and mechanisms for establishing the councils in a way that strengthens their role as credible representatives of the Iraqi economy and effective platforms for international business engagement.

Discussions also highlighted the importance of building strategic partnerships with leading global economies, enhancing economic cooperation between Iraq and its friendly partner countries, and creating a more attractive environment for foreign investment in Iraq.
