Led by (Mr. Azad Hussein – Iraqi Commercial Attaché in France), a visit was made to the (Livestock Summit), attended by delegates from the Ministry of Agriculture of (Dr. Hatem Karim – General Director of Agricultural Research), (Dr. Walid Rizouqi – General Director of livestock) and (Ms. Carol – Export 4 Life), to engage with experts in the field of animal production.
A visit was made to the headquarters of (MEDEF International) and meeting with (Mr. Philippe Gautier – General Director of MEDEF) and (Mrs. Thuraya Karam – Middle East Affairs Manager) by the (Iraqi Board of Directors members) discussing ways to activate joint efforts to achieve the Council’s objectives and the upcoming visit of a large business delegation from major French companies to Iraq.
A meeting was held with His Excellency (Mr. Bengen Rekani – Minister of Construction and Housing) in Baghdad to discuss avenues for cooperation and enhancing investment opportunities available at the (Ministry of Construction and Housing) with the French side.
A visit was made to Arte Charpentier Architects, a company specializing in urban planning, modern city designs. Attended by (Mr. Andrew Hobson – CEO of the company), (Mr. Jerome Legal – General Manager), (Mrs. Nahla Jajo – Regional Director for Africa and the Middle East), (Dr. Hadi Al-Yasiri – Director General of the Horticulture Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture), and Council members to discuss prospects for collaboration and partnership opportunities in Iraq.
At the kind invitation of (Mr. Omar Al-Barzani – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs) at the Ministry’s headquarters, a delegation from the (Board of Directors) met to outline the Council’s role in establishing fruitful business partnerships with the friendly state of France. Expressing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ readiness to support the Council achieving the goals of the presidential agreement between the two friendly countries.
At the kind invitation of His Excellency Ambassador (Bakr Al-Jaff – Head of the Europe Department) at the Ministry’s headquarters, a delegation from the (Board of Directors) met to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and the Council’s directions, based on the strategic partnership agreement signed by (His Excellency the Prime Minister) and (the French President). Addressing the role of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in supporting the efforts of the Council to achieve its objectives.
A panel discussion was held at the invitation of Mr. (Mujahid Al-Waisi – CEO of Capita Company), attended by Mr. (Adham Al-Fakhar – Chairman of the Council), Mr. (Mohammad Al-Najjar – Investment Advisor to the Prime Minister), and Mr. (Bassam Al-Ateia – Board Member and Head of the Digital Industry Sector), on the matter of (Digital Transformation and the Future of Iraq’s Economy).
His Excellency (Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi – Minister of Health), in the presence of Mr. (Adham Al-Fakhar – Chairman of the Council) and the esteemed members of the Council, discussed shared visions, opportunities for joint cooperation, and the Council’s upcoming directions.
Honored to accept the invitation of the French Embassy and meeting with (Mr. Axel Baroux – Trade and Investment Commissioner at Business France), in the presence of the council members, discussing the Council’s directions and activate partnership opportunities with French companies and institutions and to prepare for the upcoming visit to Paris.
We had the honor of meeting (Dr. Mahdi Al-Jubouri – Deputy Minister of Agriculture) to discuss shared visions with the Council for activating partnership opportunities with the French side. His Excellency, (Mr. Minister of Agriculture), recommended the formation of a (high-level ministerial committee) with the membership of Ms. (Zina Yaqoub – Board Member and Head of the Agriculture and Food Sector) ensuring the continuity of dialogue with the Ministry on this matter.
