The Construction and Building Exhibition in A visit to the International Construction and Building Exhibition (Batimat), led by Mr. (Louay Al-Saeed – Head of the Construction and Building Technologies Sector), with the presence of the Iraqi business delegation, to explore the latest technologies and innovations in the field of construction and design.
In coordination with Dr. Hanaa Al-Asadi, the Administrative Deputy Minister of Planning, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Planning headquarters, in the presence of the Director General of Investments, the Director General of Standardization and Quality Control, the Director General of the Government Contracts Department, as well as the Council delegation. The meeting addressed the topic of amending and correcting the standard documents and the instructions for implementing government contracts through the Council delegation’s proposals. In addition, discussions were held on the criteria for establishing Iraqi inspection companies.
Graciously hosted by His Excellency Engineer Ammar Mousa Kazem, the Mayor of Baghdad, a visit was made to the headquarters of the Baghdad Municipality in the presence of Engineer Mohammad Aziz, Director General of Baghdad Sewerage, along with the Council delegation. During the meeting, the Council presented its proposals to His Excellency the Mayor, and discussions were held regarding urban planning directions and cooperation for the joint implementation of projects to serve our beloved capital.
Graciously hosted by the Technical Agent (Dr. Jassim Al-Falahi), a meeting was held, attended by Dr. Sinan Jafar Mohammed, Director General of the Department for the Protection and Improvement of the Environment in the Central Region, along with the council’s delegation. The meeting focused on discussing how to establish partnerships with specialized French and Iraqi institutions to implement the Ministry’s environmental protection and monitoring projects, as well as the continued support from the Technical Agent (Dr. Jassim Al-Falahi), to facilitate the environmental approvals for the Council members’ projects.
Graciously hosted by (Dr. Maher Johan – Deputy Minister of Planning) and his advanced Staff, a meeting was held, attended by (Mr. Adham Al-Fakhar – Chairman of the council) and (Mr. Saad Al-Naimi – Council Member) Several important topics were discussed, including agreeing to coordinate a meeting with the French Embassy in Iraq and the Ministry of Planning to discuss mechanisms for activating the French loan to Iraq and the obstacles preventing its implementation. As well, discussing the proposal from Our council regarding the use of the French loan funds to support private sector projects, particularly in areas such as environmental, digital, integrated solutions, and economic cities, as these are infrastructure projects for economic development.
Baghdad (13/02/2025) A meeting was held with the attendance of all board members, and (Mr. Ahmed Salman – Legal Advisor to the Council), with some of the council members, to discuss several directions, including holding the (second joint board directors meeting).
A meeting was held attended by council members, and the (Baghdad Chamber of Commerce Delegation) with (Engineer Raad Breij – Vice President of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce) and (Ali Al-Mukhtar – Board Member of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce), to discuss the prospects of cooperation between the (Chamber of Commerce) and the Iraqi-French Business Council.
Graciously hosted by (Mr. Adel Akkab – President of the Iraqi Federation of Industries) and the board members of the federation at the federation’s headquarters, with the attendance of businesswomen and businessmen from the council. The meeting aimed to discuss the prospects of mutual cooperation to establish partnerships between the countries, Iraq and France.
The (Iraqi-French Business Forum) was held, hosted by (the board members from the French side), (the French business delegation), (the Economic Department – French Embassy in Iraq), and a distinguished group of businesswomen and businessmen from Iraq, in addition to the council’s delegation, to enhancing economic cooperation between businesswomen and businessmen from both the Iraqi and French sides.
The meeting was held with the presence of the board members from the Iraqi side and the board members from the French side. This marked the beginning of the council’s activities between the two countries, aiming to Potential opportunities to establish economic partnerships in between.
