Coordination Meeting with the Iraqi Diplomatic Mission in France

As part of strengthening economic cooperation between Iraq and France, a coordination meeting was held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Paris. The meeting brought together representatives of the Iraqi-French Business Council and the Iraqi diplomatic mission in France.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Adham Al-Fakhar, Co-Chairman of the Iraqi-French Business Council; Mr. Thaer Waheeb Hassan, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Iraq in Paris; and Mr. Ali Adel Hussein, Iraqi Commercial Attaché in Paris.

Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation mechanisms and establishing effective coordination frameworks for organizing business forums and trade delegations between Iraq and France. The participants emphasized the importance of strengthening economic relations and expanding opportunities for cooperation between companies and investors from both countries.

The meeting also reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Iraqi Investment Forum scheduled to take place on September 27–28, 2025, with the aim of ensuring broad and effective participation from French companies and investors.

The parties agreed on the importance of centralized coordination between the Embassy of Iraq in Paris, the Iraqi Commercial Attaché, and the Iraqi-French Business Council for all future economic activities and initiatives, in order to present a unified and well-organized representation to the French side.

The Iraqi-French Business Council expressed its sincere appreciation to the Chargé d’Affaires and the Iraqi Commercial Attaché in Paris for their continued cooperation and support in strengthening Iraqi-French.
