Graciously hosted by (Dr. Maher Johan – Deputy       Minister of Planning) and his advanced Staff, a meeting was held, attended by (Mr. Adham Al-Fakhar – Chairman of the council) and (Mr. Saad Al-Naimi – Council Member)  Several important topics were discussed, including agreeing to coordinate a meeting with the French Embassy in Iraq and the Ministry of Planning to discuss mechanisms for activating the French loan to Iraq and the obstacles preventing its implementation. As well, discussing the proposal from Our council regarding the use of the French loan funds to support private sector projects, particularly in areas such as environmental, digital, integrated solutions, and economic cities, as these are infrastructure projects for economic development.

Baghdad (13/02/2025)  A meeting was held with the attendance of all board members, and (Mr. Ahmed Salman – Legal Advisor to the Council), with some of the council members, to discuss several directions, including holding the (second joint board directors meeting).

A meeting was held attended by council members, and the (Baghdad Chamber of Commerce Delegation) with (Engineer Raad Breij – Vice President of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce) and (Ali Al-Mukhtar – Board Member of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce), to discuss the prospects of cooperation between the (Chamber of Commerce) and the Iraqi-French Business Council.

Graciously hosted by (Mr. Adel Akkab – President of the Iraqi Federation of Industries) and the board members of the federation at the federation’s headquarters, with the attendance of businesswomen and businessmen from the council.  The meeting aimed to discuss the prospects of mutual cooperation to establish partnerships between the countries, Iraq and France.

The meeting was held with the presence of the board members from the Iraqi side and the board members from the French side. This marked the beginning of the council’s activities between the two countries, aiming to Potential opportunities to establish economic partnerships in between.

The (Iraqi-French Business Forum) was held, hosted by (the board members from the French side), (the French business delegation), (the Economic Department – French Embassy in Iraq), and a distinguished group of businesswomen and businessmen from Iraq, in addition to the council’s delegation, to enhancing economic cooperation between businesswomen and businessmen from both the Iraqi and French sides.

(His Excellency Ambassador Patrick Durel) hosted the French business delegation and attended by the council members, where discussions aimed at enhancing economic cooperation between Iraq and France.

Graciously hosted by (Dr. Mazen Sabah – Chairman of the Board Directors of South Islamic Bank) and in the presence of (Mr. Mazen Al-Sharif – CEO of South Islamic Bank), a meeting was held at the bank’s headquarters, with the council members in attendance. To discuss cooperation between the council and the bank and to facilitates the development of new economic transactions.

In the presence of a distinguished group of (businesswomen and businessmen), honorable consultants and deputies), and (the Economic department – French Embassy in Baghdad), the (Economic Business Forum) was held, hosted by the Iraqi-French Business Council.  The main goal of the forum was to discussing Potential opportunities to establish economic partnerships in between.

In the presence of the Council members, (Mr. Heman Khosrow – chairman of MERG Foundation for Training and Strategic Studies) was hosted at the council’s headquarters to discuss several fields related to economic development.
