Coordinated by the Council, a workshop was held on the (1 billion Euro French loan to Iraq) which was approved in the (Federal General Budget) law of the Republic of Iraq. Attended by the advisors, general directors, and Council members, along with the (Economic Department). Featured constructive discussions regarding (investment loans), mechanisms for activating them across various business sectors, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing the private sector.

The (Iraqi French Forum) organized by the Council, hosted by His Excellency Mr. (Patrick Durel – French Ambassador to Iraq), Mr. (Mohammad Al-Najjar – Chairman of the Iraq Development Fund), and the (Economic Department) and the Council members and focused on exploring ways to strengthen economic partnerships between the two countries.

A (Business Workshop) was held, Headed by (Mr. Mohammad Al-Najjar – Advisor to the Prime Minister and CEO of the Iraq Development Fund), with the presence of a selection of Council members. The workshop discussed the Fund’s vision and strategic directions aimed at supporting (Council companies and the private sector), developing investments in Iraq, and the (Fund)’s role in supporting these efforts to enhance their competitive capabilities.

Hosted graciously by (Dr. Haider Makkiya, Chairman of the National Investment Commission, a meeting in the presence of the Council delegation, Mr. Zuheir Shaker Ali – Director General of the One Stop Shop Department, and Mr. Saad Jamil, Deputy General Director of the Legal Department. Discussing the mechanisms for implementing the opportunities and presenting them to the French side, aimed at advancing various business sectors.

 A gracious invitation from His Excellency (Mr. Patrick Durel – the French Ambassador), a dinner was hosted for our Council attended by (the Board of Directors), the (Ambassador’s Advisor) and the (Economic Department of the Embassy). His Excellency expressed his gratitude for the Council delegation’s efforts and reiterated the Embassy’s readiness to offer any assistance and support. Also discussing the proposal of commissioning reputable media production institutions to present (Iraq’s Prospects) through high-quality media materials.

Hosted graciously by (Mr. Abdul-Muttalib Al-Alawi – Governor of Baghdad), attended by (Dr. Ali Al-Attar – Chairman of the Baghdad Investment Authority), (Mr. Ali Zidan Hamid – First Deputy Governor of Baghdad) and (Mr. Hani Abdul-Jabbar – Second Deputy Governor of Baghdad), focused on exploring the possibility of implementing shared visions for establishing (industrial and economic zones) .

A visit to (Station F) a key hub for digital transformation in Paris, coordinated by (Mr. Bassam Al-Atiea – Board Member and Head of the Digital Industry Sector), attended by The Iraqi business delegation, in collaboration with (Business France). To attend the (FrancoTech conference) with the participation of the esteemed members of the Council.

A meeting was held with Business France, attended by the Council members, hosted graciously by the representatives of Business France (Mrs. Camille Tricoire – Middle East and North Africa Coordinator), (Mr. Pascal Roger – Project Manager) and (Mrs. Christelle Labernede – Head of Trade Department). The meeting focused on ways to enhance the economy and explore partnership opportunities between Iraq and France.

The workshop was organized by (Ms. Zina Yaqoub – Board Member and Head of the Agriculture and Food Sector), with the presence of (Mr. Sohaib Al-Hakkak – Head of the Food Trade Sector), along with the General Directors from the Ministry of Agriculture, (Ms. Siham Boushnaq – Agricultural Affairs Advisor for France) and a select group of specialized French companies also attended the session.

 A business workshop was held at the Iraqi Embassy in Paris, under the generous hospitality of His Excellency (Dr. Wadee Batti – Iraqi Ambassador in Paris) and the embassy staff, coordinated by our council. Attended by the (Iraqi business delegation) and government general directors, featuring a session with (IN GROUPE), a prominent French government company specializing in social security, discussing prospects for digital development.
