23.07.2025 The Board of Directors (Iraqi side) held its regular meeting on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, with the presence of members and confirmation of quorum. The meeting included discussions on various topics related to the Council’s operations and future directions, conducted in a spirit of constructive dialogue and shared commitment to the Council’s mission in fostering economic partnerships. The Council continues to work on developing its programs and plans to serve its members’ interests and to strengthen cooperation between the Iraqi and French sides.

On November 18, 2024, Earthlink sponsored the Digital Space Forum in Baghdad, attended by government, parliamentary, private sector, and academic leaders. Mr. Alaa Jassim Mousa, Earthlink’s CEO and Head of Communications Sector in our council, participated in this key event. The Iraqi-French Business Council proudly announces the inauguration of the International Company’s factory for producing medical and industrial gases in Baghdad, led by our esteemed council member Mr. Mohammad Shaker Mahmoud, CEO of Alam Al-Ma’aden Company. The factory, officially opened by Prime Minister Mr. Mohammad Shia’ Al-Sudani on June 14, 2025, is the first of its kind in Iraq. It produces medical and industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide, with a production capacity of 450 tons per month, covering most of the Iraqi market’s needs.
