A Remarkable Industrial Achievement by the Iraqi-French Business Council

The Iraqi-French Business Council proudly announces the inauguration of the International Company’s factory for producing medical and industrial gases in Baghdad, led by our esteemed council member Mr. Mohammad Shaker Mahmoud, CEO of Alam Al-Ma’aden Company.

The factory, officially opened by Prime Minister Mr. Mohammad Shia’ Al-Sudani on June 14, 2025, is the first of its kind in Iraq.

It produces medical and industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide, with a production capacity of 450 tons per month, covering most of the Iraqi market’s needs.

Located on a 10-dunam site, the factory features advanced technical systems for monitoring and managing production.

This project marks a strategic step towards self-sufficiency and reducing import dependency, supporting the health and industrial sectors, and supplying the Ministries of Industry, Oil, and Health.

We congratulate Mr. Mohammad Shaker Mahmoud on this significant achievement that strengthens national industry and public-private partnership.
