Strengthening Environmental Cooperation in Iraq

The Iraqi–French Business Council was honoured to meet with ( H.E. Mrs. Sarwa Abdul Wahid , Minister of Environment ) on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.

The meeting was led by ( Mr. Adham Al Fakhar , Co – Chairman of the Council ) , in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Environment.

Discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation and on supporting the development and advancement of environmental systems and practices in Iraq , including opportunities to leverage international expertise and foster meaningful partnerships in the environmental sector.

The Council extends its sincere appreciation to H.E. the Minister for her warm reception and for the constructive and professional engagement throughout the meeting.
