High-Level Networking Evening in Erbil to Advance Iraqi–French Investment Cooperation

The Iraqi French Business Council (IFBC), under the leadership of ( Eng. Adham Al Fakhar – Chairman of the Council ) , hosted a high-level networking evening in Erbil, Kurdistan Region , bringing together senior government officials, business leaders, and Council members to strengthen economic and investment cooperation.

The evening was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, including:

– H.E. Kamal Muslim Saeed – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Kurdistan Region.
– H.E. Ano Jawhar – Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kurdistan Region.
– Mr. Gelan Haji Saeed – President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Kurdistan Region.
– Dr. Ali Jawad – Representative of the ( Iraqi–British Business Council ) in Kurdistan and Southern Iraq.
– Mr. Marouf Herki – Vice President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
– Mr. Shukri Jameel – President of Duhok Chamber of Commerce.
– Dr. Mohammed Shukri – Chairman of the Kurdistan Region Board of Investment.
– Mr. Barakisht Aqrawi – Advisor to the Kurdistan Region Board of Investment.
– Mr. Blnd Mam – Director General of the Companies Registration Directorate.
– Mr. Salar Rasheed – General Manager of VFS Erbil.

The event also welcomed IFBC members from the Kurdistan Region, including:

– Mr. Salih Al Barzinje – Council Member
– Mrs. Kanar Rash – Council Member
– Mrs. Sarwa Al Barzanji – Council Member

Discussions focused on expanding economic and investment cooperation, highlighting the Kurdistan Region’s key investment opportunities, and strengthening engagement between the public and private sectors.

A key outcome of the evening was the agreement to organise an Investment Forum in Erbil in the near future, bringing together all IFBC members, government institutions, and leading companies to showcase investment opportunities, encourage direct dialogue with investors, and explore new strategic partnerships between Iraq and France.
