Excellent Participation of French-Iraqi Business Council Members in the Iraqi Business Forum – Paris 2025 (26th May 2025)

Members of the French-Iraqi Business Council participated in high-level panel discussions at the Iraqi Business Forum, which was held in Paris under the patronage of the French government agency Business France on 26th May 2025.
The event gathered an elite group of top French corporations and senior officials from Iraq and France.
Council members contributed actively across several vital sectors, reflecting the Council’s broad engagement in shaping Iraq’s economic future:

  • Agriculture and Food Sovereignty – (Ms. Zina Yaqoub Youssef) and (Mr. Ahmed Salman) participated in the session: “Food Sovereignty and Agricultural Innovation: What Strategies for Iraq?”
  • Reconstruction – (Mr. Maytham Al-Asadi) and (Mr. Muqdad Al-Jubouri) took part in the panel: “Reconstruction Challenges in Iraq.”
  • Consumer Goods – (Mr. Adham Al-Fakhar) joined the session: “Iraq’s Consumer Goods Market: Structure, Distribution, and Growth Opportunities.”
  • Defense and Energy – (Mr. Bassam Al-Atiyah) participated in the session: “Defense and Energy: What Investment Opportunities Exist?”

These sessions were attended by prominent officials, including:

  1. The French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade
  2. (Mr. Atheer Dawood Salman Al-Ghurairi), Iraqi Minister of Trade
  3. (Mr. Mohammed Al-Najjar), Advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister on Investment Affairs
  4. (Dr. Hassan Al-Khatib), Advisor to the Prime Minister on Digital Transformation and Telecommunications

The Council’s active presence at the forum underscores its pivotal role in international economic platforms and its dedication to fostering in-depth dialogue on Iraq’s investment landscape. It also reaffirms its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships between Iraq and France.
