As part of the May 2024 Iraqi–French Economic Forum, the third day featured insightful dialogue on investment opportunities and cross-sector cooperation, with a particular focus on banking sector engagement.

Mr. Adham Al-Fakhar, Co-Chairman of the Iraqi–French Business Council, addressed the forum with a forward-looking perspective on investment in Iraq. Despite existing challenges, he emphasized the importance of perseverance, partnership, and strategic vision for sustainable economic growth.

Ms. Zina Yaqub Yousif, Board Member and Head of the Food Industries Sector at the Council, also delivered remarks highlighting the role of industrial diversification and the Council’s commitment to supporting local and international collaboration in key sectors.

The third day of the forum placed special emphasis on the intersection between Iraqi and French banking sectors, offering a platform for financial institutions from both countries to explore avenues for cooperation and innovation.
